Well folks, it is now officially spring. Congratulations we made it through winter! Hopefully all those coughs and colds and flu's us parents have to deal with are on their way out.

Spring is a great time to think about have a big clear out of all the clutter and maybe thinking about a fresh look for the kids rooms. It is also only 16 weeks till christmas!!!! Little Rooms has gorgeous things that will also make wonderful gifts.

I have to say - it can be hard to come by some really good bean bags in little old NZ. You know, one's that are really good quality and they look fantastic. That's why I am now stocking some gorgeous designs from Cocoon Couture. The fabric is a good quality cord (100% cotton) that you can throw in the washing machine and they also come with a liner just to make sure those beans don't escape. Not only that but they also have a child safe zip!

What to do on a Saturday morning when you've been awoken by the little folk! Oh I know! Blog :) So here I am. The little one is happily glued to the TV and the rest of the house is fast asleep.

So a good time to let you know that I will be getting in very soon - as in probably on Monday, my new range of lights! Yay. The string lighting that we used to stock is unfortunately now unavailable in a lot of the favourite lines so I went searching for a new range. I really think you are going to like them...

Not only that but we have fortunately been able to restock all of our current stock so if there's an item you've been waiting to show up available then it is most likely on it's way!! Thank goodness because I really don't like to disappoint anyone. But please if there is something you've seen maybe in one of our images or somewhere and you're wondering if we could get it in - let me know! We don't always get the whole range in but we have a huge database of products from our suppliers to choose from so it may be that we can get it in just for you. xx

Welcome to Autumn! Hopefully you had a lovely Easter. I know those of you that ordered just before Easter got a pack of chocolate eggies with your order so hope you enjoyed :)

Just thought I would fill you in on some new wall stickers that we have in. They are some very very cute monsters! Of course we don't want scary monsters for our little people so these will just add some fun-ness to the walls. You can find them here. So go ahead and jazz up the room. Your little person will love it!!

Okay so if you are looking to create a room for your little person then what are the trends for 2015? One that really stands out and that I've been reading a lot about is the use of a neutral colour base with colourful accents. Perfect for when you go to sell the home right? You don't want the job of painting the hot pink off the walls right before you sell. It can also grow with your child because as they outgrow some items you can just replace them without renovating the entire room. I love this idea and it makes it very easy to get started. If your lucky enough to already have a neutral colour that is.. My personal take on this is that it gives you the best of both worlds and it's practical.

Heres a good example of this. It's cute, practical, modern, calming and pretty.

So what's next on this list?? Pineapples. From wall stickers to cushions, pineapples are everywhere! If you're going for a summer breeze kind of thing then some cute decals might be just the way. Check out these cuties from Speckled House. Hopefully Little Rooms will be getting some of these in soon! Once again note the neutrals with colourful accents.

But what about the boys you say? Yes well one of the number one trends is the use of maps. Not only do they look great but of course they are educational as well!
